General Consul for Italy Mr. Vincenzo De Luca Visit
On November 4th, an Italian delegation including General Consul for Italy at Shanghai Mr. Vincenzo De Luca and also Prof. Raffaella Casotti from Stazione Zoologica Anton Dohrn, a marine science research institute based in Napoli, Italy, visited the School and the State Key Laboratory of Marine Geology. The delegates received warm welcomes from Prof. Peng Yu, Prof. Shouye Yang, A.Prof. Peng Wang and other researchers of the Laboratory, and the two sides shared ideas on seeking potential opportunities for conducting joint research programs and exchanging young scholars and students within the two institutes. After the meeting, the delegation was shown the School’s exhibition hall Undersea as well as the Laboratory.
This visit could serve as a significant chance for deepening mutual understanding between Tongji and her Italian counterpart in marine sciences, and would further help open the door for future cooperation.
