  • SERVICE

    I have extensive experience designing, executing and collaborating on various field projects and experiments in the coastal ocean and estuaries. This includes project experience in mooring design (e.g. tripod) and construction, instrument programming (ADCP, ADV, CTD, OBS,Hydro-Lab, etc.), and research cruises.

    ·     Qiantang River Estuary, Hangzhou Bay, China, Cruise. 2015

    Designed and implemented experimental assessing estuarine circulation and turbulent mixing in a hypertidal estuary. This included a ship cruise to obtain the along and cross channel variation of hydrodynamics. 1 tripod (2 ADCP/ 2 ADVs/ 2 OBSs/2 EMCM) was deployed on the river bed to capture the temporal variations of the mixing, stratification, and sediment dynamics throughout the water column, especially within the tidal bottom boundary layer.

    ·     Qiantang River Estuary, China, in-situ observation. 2012

    Designed and executed an experimental looking at flow structure and turbulent dynamics in a hypertidal estuary with strong breaking tidal bores in spring tides. This included 1 mooring (1 ADCP/ 3 ADVs/ 3 OBSs/1 EMCM) for ~2 weeks.
