Research Interests
Climate change in the polar regions:
· Long/short term Southern Ocean climate variability and their connection to Northern Hemisphere and low latitude climate system.
· Sea surface conditions (SST, sea ice, productivity etc.) changes and related atmospheric circulation, CO2 changes;
· Antarctic glaciation/deglaciation history and meltwater discharge history, and the impact of ocean circulation and nutrient (e.g., Si) leakage to low latitude oceans.
· Climate changes in the (sub)Arctic, palaeoceanography of the Arctic Ocean, Arctic glaciations history.
· Subarctic North Pacific climate variability and its interaction with low latitude climate system.
